Position Summary
B2Z Engineering is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory/Field Technician to join our team in Houston, TX.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform laboratory tests on construction materials including concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates.
  • Conduct field testing on project sites.
  • Accurately record, maintain, and report test data.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and project teams to ensure compliance and safety.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our clients’ construction projects.

Education & Certification Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred:

  • TxDOT Level 1B
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician
  • SB102 (TxDOT Soils and Base Course)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and lab reporting software)
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and safety standards
  • Commitment to follow safety protocols and use PPE as required
