Construction Management

HCDD1 Administration Building

Client: Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 (HCDD1)

HCDD1 had outgrown their current administration facilities and needed additional office space to accommodate their growing team of administration professionals, civil engineers and supporting staff.  HCDD1 worked with a local architect to develop plans and specifications for their new 10,000 square foot facility, and after plans were complete, turned to B2Z to assist with an alternative contractor procurement method.  B2Z met with HCDD1 to discuss their project goals and objectives, and after understanding their needs, recommended procuring a contractor through a construction manager at risk process.  B2Z continued to manage the project throughout the construction and turnover/warranty phase, tasked with inspection services, construction contract administration, contractor oversight, and warranty management.  B2Z was able to turn over the facility two months ahead of schedule and at a construction cost of two-million, well under HCDD1’s budget.
