Position Summary
B2Z Engineering is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory/Field Technician to join our team in Houston, TX.
In this role, you will:
- Perform laboratory tests on construction materials including concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates.
- Conduct field testing on project sites.
- Accurately record, maintain, and report test data.
- Calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure quality standards are met.
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, and project teams to ensure compliance and safety.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our clients’ construction projects.

Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent

- TxDOT Level 1B
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician
- SB102 (TxDOT Soils and Base Course)
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and lab reporting software)
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and safety standards
- Commitment to follow safety protocols and use PPE as required
