As a Construction Materials Laboratory/Field Technician, you will conduct construction materials laboratory testing under the guidance of the lab supervisor or department manager. Your responsibilities will include performing compressive/flexural strength testing of concrete, conducting laboratory compaction characteristics of soil (proctor) testing, soil classifications, aggregate gradations, inputting laboratory data, documenting laboratory quality procedures, and calibrating equipment. Additionally, you will assist in soil, concrete, and asphalt testing on project sites. This role involves working and communicating with contractors, supervisors, subordinates, local officials, and the public.

This role involves inspecting work to ensure compliance with regulatory standards as well as project specifications. You will also perform tests or gather test samples to verify the quality of materials being used for each project. Applicants should have a degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience working on large commercial and residential construction projects. You should also have a valid driver’s license, as your duties will require you to visit and evaluate various worksites.

Duties and Responsibilities
